Diamond Orthopedic. The New Fixation Standard in Orthopedics
Diamond Orthopedic bone screws feature an enhanced design where facets are added to screw threads, increasing thread volume, fostering better engagement with neighboring bone, and lowering compressive stress at the bone/screw interface. Compressive stress generated by traditional threads can lead to microfractures, damaged bone, and can create a narrow, high-stress core susceptible to pullout failure. A faceted screw’s ability to generate lower compressive stress at the bone/screw interface brings a new and unique way to address this issue.
Lower Insertional Torque - The faceted threadform lowers insertional torque required to reduce a fracture by ~50%1
Increased Bone Contact - Faceted bone screws feature better neighboring bone engagement that leads to increased osteogenesis and bone/device apposition2
Higher Pullout Strength - Faceted bone screws feature an improved bone/screw interface, increasing fixation and pullout strength, with up to 61% greater pullout strength two weeks after surgery2
